Merrill Kaney

Merrill Kaney has over 33 years of Facilities, Plant Operations Management and engineering experience. His employment opportunities have been complimented by a strategic and long-range planning background in the Healthcare, Education & Stadium/Light Food markets. He interfaces with Strategic Technical Engineering to provide planning, asset optimization, and high-level energy services to the customers he supports.   

Since 1984, Merrill began his career which advanced to his most recent position of Regional Director of Operations in major Healthcare organizations such as Ascension Health & ABM Healthcare. Merrill has also served in multiple roles in the ServiceMaster/ARAMARK Corporation. Merrill designed, implemented and would guide facility operations technicians and programs to ensure that integrity and a standard level of quality were delivered to their customers in the operational units. He also led, directed, coordinated, and focused company support and technical training resources in the most expeditious manner possible. He made numerous presentations to board room executives and other leaders and has reported to customer CEO, COO’s and V.P.’s.

Field & Corporate development is second nature to Merrill. With real time understanding of customer issues, Merrill captures the essence of major needs and creates sustainable solutions in a budget challenged environment bringing value to his profession.

In 1984, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Eastern Illinois University with an emphasis in energy management. He actively pursues enrichment through recognized facility related institutions such as the University of Wisconsin & facility professional organizations. Merrill also carries industry recognized credentials such as the Certified Plant Engineers License, Certified Energy Managers designation, & several other operating significations. He is active in facility related associations such as the American Society of Healthcare Engineers, Association of Facility Engineers, & Association of Energy Engineers.

In 2017, R. Ledbetter & Associates welcomed Merrill to their organization.
