Lane T. Pierce

Lane has a 35-year history in assisting K-12, colleges, universities, and long-term care facilities, build effective and efficient maintenance management programs. He is a leader in public and private endeavors related to energy and facilities management, with strengths in preventive maintenance programs, cleaning processes, standard operating procedures, people, and more. 

His background includes 16 years at ServiceMaster as the Director of Energy Programs and which included a patchwork of functions including the implementation of capital-intensive energy performance contracting, the acquisition of an energy services company, and the evaluation monitor of energy guaranteed contracts with a staff of 33 people and a budget of $7 million. After ServiceMaster was acquired by Aramark, he continued his work for them under the title of Director/OpX Innovations and Expertise. Here he worked on innovative projects including Aramark’s BLUE Cleaning Standard, implementation of the WEBTMA system throughout Higher Education LOB, Training programs for CMMS, Custodial Operations, and Maintenance Operations. 

Lane graduated from Missouri State University in 1980 with a major in Engineering Physics after having worked on a DOE grant for solar system thermal performance during his studies. In the past, he has also been involved in numerous professional memberships, such as The Association of Energy Engineers and the Association of Physical Plant Administrators.
